Live playback and guide data are different

An EPG is schedule information displayed by the player. A channel can still play while its guide is missing or out of date. Check whether the issue is the picture itself, the schedule labels or a replay button before asking for help.

Start with the clock

Compare the device time zone, player time settings and actual local time. Daylight-saving changes can expose an incorrect offset. Avoid adding multiple compensating adjustments across the device and player. Change one setting at a time and compare a program whose broadcast time you know.

Refresh using the player’s normal controls

Use the supported guide-refresh option and allow the request to complete. Repeatedly reloading a large guide can make it harder to tell whether the previous request worked. If only particular channels lack data, note those names and the time of your check for support.

Catch-up is not a universal recording service

Replay depends on the feed, available window and player support. A channel with a program guide does not automatically include catch-up, and a listed program may no longer be inside the available replay window. Test a supported recent item before assuming that every past event can be watched.

Check an important event ahead of time

If a game or program matters to you, verify the feed and any replay option during the trial. Do not plan around unconfirmed recording or catch-up behavior. Ask the team about the specific channel rather than relying on a general quality badge.
